What this tool does, and its limits

Type a topic and the tool asks Polymarket's public Gamma API for the best-matching open events, then shows each outcome's current price as a percentage. A price of 0.62 for Yes is read as a 62% chance according to traders, and volume shows how much money has been traded, which tells you how seriously to take the number. The data is a snapshot taken when you press the button and your browser talks to Polymarket directly, with no PennyData server in between. It lists at most the top 15 matching events, very narrow or old topics can return nothing, and market prices are not forecasts from PennyData. This is information, not financial advice. The bulk version on Apify can track many topics.

Questions

What do Polymarket odds mean?

Each outcome trades between 0 and 1 dollar, and that price is read as the crowd's probability. A Yes price of 0.62 means traders collectively put the event at about 62%. It is a market price, not a forecast from experts or from PennyData.

Is this real-time data?

It is a snapshot taken when you press Show odds, and the page prints the time it was fetched. Prices on Polymarket move constantly, so press the button again for a fresh read.

Where does the data come from?

Your browser calls Polymarket's public Gamma API directly. Nothing is routed through a PennyData server, and we do not store your searches.

What is the difference between odds and volume?

Odds are the current price of an outcome. Volume is the total dollars traded on that market since it opened. A market with 51% odds and very little volume is a weaker signal than one with the same odds and millions traded.

Why does a search show fewer markets than Polymarket has?

The tool asks for the top 15 matching events and lists every open market inside them. Very specific or very old topics may return nothing. Try a broader word, such as senate instead of a candidate's full name.

Not financial advice. Prices are crowd estimates from a public API, shown as fetched, and can be wrong. PennyData is not affiliated with Polymarket.
